Parking equipment burnt, stolen, claims paid-parking contractor in Panchkula

A paid-parking contractor of the Sector 14 market has alleged that two persons stole and burnt parking equipment and barricades on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
In his complaint to the police, Lal Chand, a resident of Sector 25, stated that the suspects had entered into an argument with a staff member, Sita Ram, after he asked them to pay fee for parking a four-wheeler.
“Following the altercation, the suspects threatened the parking employee that they would teach him a lesson and they won’t be able to charge anyone tomorrow,” he said.
The complainant added that the masked suspects were also caught on CCTV cameras while taking away parking equipment.
A case has been registered in this connection at the Sector 14 police station.
