A Parliamentary Standing Committee led by its Chairperson Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy today visited various flagship mission works, including Swachh Bharat Mission, Amrut and Smart City projects.

The delegation was happy with the cleanliness being maintained in the city. Its members visited the construction and demolition plant in Industrial Area, where the delegation was apprised by the officials of the MC that there were a total of 22 C&D waste collection centres in the city. They also inspected the horticulture waste processing plant at 3 BRD and later visited the Integrated Command and Control Centre, Sector 17.

As per the schedule, the committee will attend an informal discussion with the officials on Tuesday and review various schemes of the ministry.
