The railway station in the city was a picture of exasperation today as fog derailed the schedule of trains once again.
The Unchahar Express, New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi, and New Delhi-Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express reported significant delays, disrupting travel plans of passengers.
The Unchahar Express (14217), which runs from Prayagraj to Chandigarh and back, arrived in the city at 8.03 pm — nearly 11 hours past its scheduled arrival of 9.15 am.
Even the famed New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi (12011), known for its speed and reliability, chugged into the city late by an hour and 34 minutes. “The Shatabdi has always been the pride of Indian Railways. Lately, fog hit its schedule too,” shared Gurmehar, a regular commuter. The Vande Bharat Express, often praised for its speed and efficiency, arrived late by nearly an hour. Against the scheduled arrival of 8.38 am, it reached the city at 9.35 am.
