Aerocity Block I residents caught two bike-borne snatchers while fleeing with the phone of a daily wager near Naraingarh village today and handed them over to Aerocity police station officials.

Complainant Somivr Sagar, a native of Bareilly, UP, was going for work when three bike-borne youths blocked his way and beat him up after demanding money and phone. The trio pushed the victim to the ground and fled with his phone. When he raised the alarm, locals chased the miscreants and nabbed two of them near the school while the third managed to escape.

The police said the suspects were identified as Satnam Singh of Kakrali village in Dera Bassi and Sampat Singh of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan.

A case under Section 304 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita has been registered at the Aerocity police station.
