Chandigarh, June 25
The Basic training Centre of the Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), located at Bhanu, conducted a passing- out parade for 34 constables of the sportsman cadre today.
It was the 23rd sports condensed batch to be trained at the centre. During the eight-week course, the recruits were trained in drill, weapons, map reading and field craft. Competitions and demonstrations were also part of the training curriculum.
The parade, commanded by Constable Stanzin Gandun, was reviewed by Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Inspector General, ITBP. Congratulating the newly inducted constables, he expressed confidence that the training imparted here had laid a strong foundation for their future in the force.
