Patiala won the Dhruv Pandove Trophy 2024 by registering an innings and 33 run victory over Barnala at the Maharaja Yadavindra International PCA Stadium, Mullanpur.

The Patiala skipper after winning the toss put Barnala to bat. The side got all out for 120 runs in 49.3 overs in the first innings as Parmeet Singh (38 off 107 balls), Kunwarbir Singh (26 off 49 balls), Parvjot Singh (19 off 44 balls) and Deiwik Gocher (14 off 25 balls) were the main scorers for the side.

Gursharan Singh claimed a five-wicket haul for the bowling side, while Damanpreet Singh claimed 3/32. Gunar Kohli also bagged one.

In reply, Patiala scored 287 before getting all out in 96.5 overs to claim a 167-run lead. Prabhjit Singh (85 off 222 balls), and Anantbir Singh Gill (72 off 87 balls) were the two leading scorers for the side, followed by Gurnoor Singh (35 off 61 balls) and Aryan Yadav (25 off 30 balls). Karanbir Singh Dhaliwal (4/57), Kunwarbir Singh (2/68), Binderpal Puri (1/38) and Dravin Chanana (2/5) were the main wicket takers for the bowling side.

In the second innings, Barnala batters once again failed and were bundled out for 134. Parmeet Singh (69 off 169) was the lone successful scorer for the side. Vineet Kumar (4/17), Damanpreet Singh (3/43) and Rohit Kumar (2/15) claimed wickets for the bowling side.

Deepak Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, PCA, awarded a cheque of Rs 75,000 to the runners up team and Rs 1.5 lakh to the title winners.
