Dr Yadav clarified that the overall situation was under control in the district. She said water had entered fields in some villages and it was now receding. She appealed to residents not to go near water channels and immediately share any information regarding water rise, breaches or emergency situations at the district administration helpline numbers 0175-2350550 and 0175-2358550.

The Deputy Commissioner said although heavy rains in the catchment areas raised the water level of rivers, the administration had made all arrangements to deal with any emergency.
