The police have arrested a peddler from the Pinjore area after recovering large quantity of cannabis from his possession.

Sharing details, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Arvind Kamboj said the police had received a tip-off about a youth hailing from Bihar and residing in Baddi being engaged in the sale of cannabis.

Acting swiftly on the information, a team led by Anti-Narcotics Cell in-charge Praveen Kumar conducted a raid at the Nawa Nagar T-point in Pinjore and apprehended the suspect on the spot.

The arrested accused has been identified as Rohit Kumar, a native of Jamui district, Bihar, and currently residing in a rented accommodation at Gol Market, Baddi.

A case has been registered.
