Chandigarh, September 7

Members of the Sikh community today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for bringing three holy forms of Guru Granth Sahib to India from troubled Afghanistan by a special plane with dignity and establishing them in a gurdwara at Tilak Nagar, New Delhi.

They conveyed their gratitude through Chandigarh BJP president Arun Sood in the presence of party’s national spokesperson RP Singh.

City BJP spokesperson Kailash Chand Jain said on the auspicious occasion of first Prakashotsav Day of Guru Granth Sahib, a programme was organised at Gurdwara Sahib, PGI, Sector 12, where “kirtan darbar” was decorated by Sikh sangat and a langar was organised.

On behalf of the gurdwara committee, it was said the entire Sikh community was thankful to PM Modi for the work done by him to bring India safely and respectfully the three holy forms of Guru Granth Sahib, while respecting the sentiments of the Sikhs.
