The INTAS Foundation donated a specialised vehicle to the PGIMER to organise blood donation camps.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Rati Ram, Head of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, said, “With this state-of-the-art vehicle, we can engage a larger number of donors and promote regular blood donation, which is crucial for meeting our patients’ needs effectively.”
PGIMER Director Prof Vivek Lal said, “We are thankful to INTAS for the essential donation. The mobile unit will allow us to expand our outreach and organise blood donation camps at various locations, greatly enhancing our ability to collect blood and assist those in critical conditions.”
Deepak from the foundation, who handed over the keys of the vehicle to Prof Lal, also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. “Our collaboration with the PGIMER demonstrates our shared commitment to improving community health. We hope the mobile unit will inspire more individuals to participate in blood donation efforts, which are critical to healthcare,” he said.
The event was attended by Prof AK Aggarwal, acting Deputy Director (Administration), Prof Ashok Kumar, acting Medical Superintendent and other senior faculty from the Department of Transfusion Medicine, including Dr Hari Krishan Dhawan, Dr Rekha Hans, Dr Divjot Singh Lamba, Dr Lakhvinder Singh, Dr Sheetal Malhotra and Dr Sangeeta Kumari.
