Prof Mahesh Prakash, Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, PGIMER, has been awarded the honorary membership of the Vietnamese Society of Skeletal Radiology at the annual meeting of the society at Danang, Vietnam.

He has been honoured for his contribution to the Vietnamese musculoskeletal radiology community in advancing the education, research and science of this field. He is the current chairman, Education Committee, Asian Musculoskeletal Society, and committee member, European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology & International Skeletal Society.

He has been extensively involved in teaching and training of musculoskeletal radiology to medical professionals in various countries across the globe, particularly underdeveloped Asian countries. He has received many national and international awards in the past.
