PGI receives accolades at cardiology conclave
Chandigarh, March 2
The PGI got accolades for transmitting a live procedure of a complex coronary angioplasty from the Advanced Cardiac Centre to the “India Live 2020” conference held from February 27 to March 1 at New Delhi.
The conclave was attended by about 2,000 cardiologists, which included many eminent faculty members from India and abroad.
Prof Rajesh Vijayvergiya with his team performed and transmitted a live case of a rarest kind from the catheterisation lab of the Cardiac Centre, PGI, to the conference venue. He said the patient was having heart pain from the past six months, for which angiography revealed an extremely rare congenital anomaly, in which all the three coronary arteries were arising from one side, which is termed as “single coronary”. — TNS
