Chandigarh, April 10
Department of Cardiology, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), has issued an advisory urging patients to use teleconsultation service in view of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases.
The advisory is especially important for cardiac patients who are on follow-up with the department, as they can take advantage of teleconsultation services, instead of travelling to the hospital. This will also benefit elderly patients who may find it difficult to travel for follow-up appointments.
The department has requested that patients, who wish to get their bills signed, can send their original bills by post to the Head of Cardiology Department, Advanced Cardiac Centre, PGIMER. Patients should also send a self-addressed empty envelope with a prepaid stamp for registered post. They will receive their signed bills at their address within 10 days.
Patients can contact the Cardiology OPD at 0172-2755993 for teleconsultation service.
