PGIMER felicitates its 51 researchers
Chandigarh, February 3
The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) marked its 10th Annual Research Day by showcasing over 400 research papers published during the previous year.
The event, a flagship platform for medical research, concluded with an award ceremony, recognising 36 researchers for their outstanding contributions in the surgical, medical and basic sciences fields under the category of ‘Research Publications.’ Additionally, 15 researchers received accolades for their work under the ‘Innovations’ category. The 36 researchers were recognised for their exemplary work in advancing medical knowledge through publications, while 15 others received accolades for their innovative contributions that have the potential to transform medical practice.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dr Rajiv Bahl, Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Health Research, and Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
PGIMER luminaries, including Prof YK Chawla, Prof V Sakhuja, Prof D Behera, Prof SK Jindal, Prof A Chakraborti and Prof Madhu Khullar, were the guests of honour on the occasion.
The Annual Research Day at the PGIMER not only served as a platform for acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of the medical research community, but also highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and advancing scientific knowledge in the healthcare domain.
