PGIMER’s Oral Health Sciences Centre receives prestigious national accolades
Dr Arpit Gupta received the Mani Bhagyalakshmi IAPHD Silver Jubilee Endowment Award for the highest national research output in Public Health Dentistry
The Oral Health Sciences Centre (OHSC), PGIMER, Chandigarh, earned national recognition at two major dental conferences held from November 28 to 30.
Prof SP Singh was honoured with the 'Outstanding Professor Award' at the Indian Orthodontic Society Conference in Visakhapatnam; and Dr Sanjeev Verma, additional professor, Unit of Orthodontics, was elected to the executive committee for the third consecutive term.
The Unit of Orthodontics also secured two research awards at the same conference.
At the IAPHD National Conference in Mangaluru, Dr Arpit Gupta, additional professor, Unit of Public Health Dentistry, received the prestigious 'Mani Bhagyalakshmi IAPHD Silver Jubilee Endowment Award' for the highest national research output in Public Health Dentistry. Dr Nishant Mehta, associate professor, Unit of Public Health Dentistry, was awarded the 'Best Paper Award' for his innovative research focused on tobacco cessation.
These recognitions continue to highlight OHSC’s excellence in clinical innovation, research, and public health advancement, said a press release.
