The men’s trap shooting team of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, claimed gold medal at the All India Inter-University Shooting (Shotgun) Championship, which concluded at New Moti Bagh Gun Club in Patiala recently. The university was represented by Jaswinder Singh, Akash Sodhi and Sehaj Preet Singh. The Panjab University team — Tavrez S Sandhu, Keshav Chauhan and Vishavdeep Singh — claimed the second position, while Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, team of Aditya Bhardwaj, Bhanupratap Singh and Divyasnh Thakur finished third.

The mixed trap team of the Amritsar university claimed the gold medal, and Rajasthan Technical University stood second. The PU squad of Tavrej S Sandhu and Anmol Khattra finished third. In the men’s trap event, Bakhtiyar Malek won the first position, followed by Jaswinder Singh at second and AryavanshTyagi at third.
