Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma today met Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Aggarwal in Chandigarh to discuss the construction of three bridges in the Morni area and four-laning of Pinjore’s main road.
The MLA said during Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s recent visit to Morni, she had submitted a memorandum, highlighting the urgent need for road, bridge and culvert construction in the region. The CM had approved these demands. Under the plan, a culvert will connect Dhadwali, Khoper, Indirawali and Kheri villages, a bridge will link Banshwala and Baldwala with the Kansal Mata Bhud main road and two culverts will connect Sirmada, Branch, Marog Sog and Amri villages in Morni.
Aggarwal has reportedly issued orders for all proposed projects. The Irrigation Department will undertake the construction of three major bridges in Morni, while the Public Works Department will execute the four-laning of the Pinjore–Kalka main road. In addition, work on the Public Works Department Rest House in Kalka will also commence shortly.
