The police have registered a case against four individuals for rioting at Raipur Rani. Rajesh, 26, said he had gone to the Raipur Rani Fair with his neighbours Diljan, alias Kalu and Gurnam in the evening of Wednesday, adding that they had an argument over a matter.

He said later, when he had returned home, he saw the two standing near his house along with two others, Meen and Abhishek, at around 10 pm. He said the four threatened him with dire consequences and attacked him with an axe and other blunt weapons.

The victim said the villagers intervened and saved him, adding that he was taken to Raipur Rani Government Hospital, from where he was shifted to the Sector 6 Government Hospital in Panchkula.
