Police search Pinky Dhaliwal’s house, seize electronic devices, documents
Music producer Pinky Dhaliwal was taken to his house by the police to conduct a search today. The police seized electronic devices and documents from Dhaliwal’s house in Sector 71 in the Sunanda Sharma cheating case. The cops said another police complaint had been filed against Dhaliwal. He is stated to be in custody at Mataur police station in Mohali.
Dhaliwal’s son filed a habeas corpus petition against Dhaliwal's unlawful detention by Mataur police. Acting on the petition, the Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered to immediately release detainee Pushpinder Singh Dhaliwal. The high court made it clear that he was ordered to be released, if his custody was not required in connection with any other case. Dhaliwal's two-day police remand ended today.
Addressing the media for the first time after the controversy broke out, Dhaliwal's family members rejected all allegations and said Sunanda was like their family member and was living in their house for the last six years.
Music producer Pushpnder Dhaliwal was arrested on Saturday after singer and actress Sunanda Sharma filed a cheating, forgery and criminal intimidation complaint against him.
