In a hit-and-run case, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted with the ADGP (Internal Security), Punjab, was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a rashly driven Activa scooter in Balongi late last night.

The deceased cop has been identified as Rajwant Singh (41), a resident of Kharar.

Rajwant Singh was going home on his motorcycle after duty. When he reached Desu Majra, he took a U-turn as there was a traffic jam due to a teachers’ protest. A woman riding an Activa hit his motorcycle after which he fell and suffered serious injuries.
