Ambala, January 31

Due to a repeated power outage, three newborn babies that were at the Special Newborn Care Unit at the Civil Hospital in the city were shifted to the Ambala Cantonment Civil Hospital last night.

According to sources, there were 10 babies at the SNCU of the city hospital, of which three were shifted as a precautionary measure.

The Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of the Civil Hospital at Ambala City, Dr Sangeeta Goel, said, “Due to repeated power outages at the hospital last night, three babies who required a continuous radiant warmer facility were shifted to the SNCU of the Ambala Cantonment Civil Hospital as a precautionary measure.”

PMO Goel added that since last night the situation here has normalised and the babies are safe.
