Residents of Sadhu Nagar, Trivedi Camp, Bhankharpur, and Sundarnagar endured a 20-hour long powercut as the outage from Tuesday stretched over to Wednesday here.

A Bhankharpur resident said, “Villages falling under Lalru PSCl Division, Mubarikpur Sub-Division and Dera Bassi Tehsil were without power since, last night. The PSPCL employees were on a strike for three days due to which no one was repairing the fault and the officials were not answering our calls. There is a shoratge of drinking water here.” Supply resumed at 7pm today.
