Chandigarh, July 28 

Praveer Ranjan, a 1993-batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, will be the new DGP of Chandigarh.

He will be replacing Sanjay Baniwal, a 1989-batch officer.

Ranjan’s transfer orders were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today. He was presently posted in Delhi.
