The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today ordered the transfer and posting of UT Excise and Taxation Commissioner Rupesh Kumar to Jammu and Kashmir.

A 2019-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, he had joined the UT Administration in July 2021.

Meanwhile, the MHA also issued the transfer and posting order of two IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre to Chandigarh.

Prerna Puri, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Chandigarh, and Swapnil M Naik, a 2009 batch IAS officer, from Arunachal Pradesh to here. Puri had earlier served as Secretary, Information Technology, here in 2011. From 2014-21, she had been on seven-year Central deputation and three-year posting in JK as Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology.
