Prices of basic items shot up drastically in recent years: Congress women wing head

The Haryana Congress women’s wing chief, Sudha Bhardwaj, presided over a press conference at Panchkula today. She said the inflated prices of basic commodities were having ill effects on everyone, especially women.
She added that the prices of basic needs such as vegetables, LPG gas, lentils, petrol, diesel, and others had increased substantially in recent years. “The prices of vegetables have doubled, while the price of an LPG gas cylinder has increased up to Rs 930,” she said.
Bhardwaj said that it becomes difficult for women to bear the daily expenses of food and other basic commodities. “They feel mentally harassed due to the exorbitant prices of commodities of daily need,” she said. She added that Congress was holding a ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and understood and understood the plight of women.
