Chandigarh, January 4
The Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) in collaboration with the UT Education Department organised a training session on child rights for principals of government schools of Chandigarh at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Sector 32, here.
As many as 75 school heads of government schools participated in the session. The first session was taken by Mahavir Singh, member secretary, State Legal Services Authority, on the POCSO Act, followed by second session by Neil Roberts, coordinator, District Legal Services Authority, on the Justice Juvenile Act, Chanchal Singh, RTE consultant, CCPCR, on the RTE Act and the last session was taken by Pooja Punchhi, member, CCPCR, on stress management.
Harjinder Kaur, chairperson, CCPCR, addressed the participants and a poster on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) was also released. — TNS
