The Municipal Corporation is set to initiate a special drive to remove private buses unauthorisedly parked on its land.

MC Commissioner Amit Kumar has instructed both the enforcement and engineering wings to take immediate action in this regard. He has also directed the engineers concerned of the Building & Roads (B&R) wing to assess the feasibility of notifying all private bus operators to relocate their vehicles to the designated parking site at Hallomajra.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
