Prof Lal reviews progress of PGI satellite centre project at Una

PGI Director Prof Vivek Lal visited the institute’s satellite centre site at Una to review the project.
Prof Lal was accompanied by a high-level team comprising Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Deputy Director, Administration, Prof Vipin Koushal, Medical Superintendent, Kumar Abhay, Financial Adviser and Prof RK Sehgal, Nodal Officer.
During an interaction with officials of the local administration and the executing agency, HITES, the visiting team was apprised of the progress on the upcoming centre. The PGI Director instructed them to execute the project on time. The executing agency was also directed for the completion of the milestones as per the stipulated timelines.
The interaction was followed by a visit to the PGI satellite centre site.
Later, the PGI Director, accompanied by his team, visited the temporary OPD of the PGI satellite centre, Una, being run from the local Civil Hospital where he interacted with doctors, paramedics and patients. He enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients there.
Evincing a keen interest in patient care, Prof Lal also gave consultation to some patients suffering from neurological disorders.
