Panchkula, November 12

Joint efforts of public agencies and NGOs can bring a visible change in society towards women rights. With the help of education, legal awareness and active community participation, a woman can be empowered enough to raise her voice against any misconduct, discrimination, injustice and inequality.

These views were expressed by Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Executive Chairman, Haryana State Legal Services Authority, during a legal awareness programme held under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority in Panchkula.

Parmod Goyal, District and Sessions Judge, and Member Secretary, HALSA; and Dr Kavita Kamboj, Joint Member Secretary, HALSA, were also present.
