Chandigarh, May 10
A delegation of the Property Consultants’ Association, Chandigarh, today donated 20 oxygen cylinders, with 47-litre capacity each duly filled, to UT Adviser Manoj Parida to meet the ever-growing demand in local hospitals for Covid patients.
A few days ago, UT Adviser Manoj Parida, through the social media, had called upon philanthropists to come forward to help the needy and underprivileged people in society during the prevailing crisis in wake of the pandemic.
Kamal Gupta, president of the association, said the Administration was facing shortage of gas cylinders with several NGOs and social organisations starting their Covid care centres, but without proper supply of oxygen.
Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, chairman of the association, said it was planning to organise vaccination camps with the help of the Administration in different parts of the city to help the residents in getting vaccinated.
Sunil Kumar, general secretary, and Manpreet Singh, finance secretary of the association, assured the authorities of rendering all possible cooperation as required from time to time.
