The police arrested a Raipur Kalan property dealer from his office and recovered an unlicensed weapon and five live rounds from him.

The accused Mandeep Singh, 35, a resident of Raipur Kalan, had opened a property dealer's office on Baltana-Raipur Road. He was arrested from his office on the Baltana-Raipur Road and an illegal .32 bore pistol with five live rounds were recovered from him. The accused is in police custody and is being questioned about the source and purpose of the illegal pistol.

A case under Section 25-54-59 Arms Act was, meanwhile, registered against him at the Zirakpur police station. —TNS
