Provident Fund body holds meeting with employers

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Zonal Office, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Labour Department, Government of Punjab, organised an interactive meeting with leading employers from the Punjab and Himachal Pradesh zones at Labour Bhawan here.

The primary focus of the meeting was on gathering feedback andsuggestions regarding the employment-linked incentive schemes announced by the Government of India in the Union Budget-2024. The interaction marks an important step in aligning needs of stakeholders with government policy to promote job creation and economic growth.

The meeting was co-chaired by Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Secretary Labour, Government of Punjab, and Kumar Rohit, Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner, EPFO.
