Provident fund body holds regional meet
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) held its 109th Regional Committee meeting here today. The meeting, chaired by Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (Punjab and Himachal Pradesh) Amit Singla saw participation from key officials, employer representatives and trade union members.
Discussions focused on improving employee benefits, timely pension disbursals and enhancing grievance redressal mechanisms.
The panel members highlighted the importance of better coordination between government officials, employers and employees to ensure seamless social security provisions.
A significant agenda point was the adjustment of interest on delayed provident fund settlements and the need for increased employer compliance.
The committee emphasised resolving regional issues affecting EPFO members.
