Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (Punjab and Himachal Pradesh) Amit Singla chairs EPFO panel meeting.

Discussions focused on improving employee benefits, timely pension disbursals and enhancing grievance redressal mechanisms.

The panel members highlighted the importance of better coordination between government officials, employers and employees to ensure seamless social security provisions.

A significant agenda point was the adjustment of interest on delayed provident fund settlements and the need for increased employer compliance.

The committee emphasised resolving regional issues affecting EPFO members.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
