Mohali, March 21

In view of the coronavirus spread, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has closed all the cash counters at its sub-divisions in the district till March 31 for receipt of payments against electricity bills.

However, the payments of the electricity bills could be made preferably by digital mode or by cheque/demand draft as per norms and these could be dropped in cheque drop box placed at the distribution sub-divisions of the PSPCL.

Deputy Chief Engineer (Personnel) in a release to the media clarified that all other payments except electricity bills such as payments towards release of new connections, extension of load and reconnection shall continue to be accepted at cash counters during this period.
