PU begins admission process for new session

Panjab University (PU) today started the admission process for various courses and programmes at the campus. The university today notified the admission notice for academic session 2025-26 under the National Education policy (NEP), which was implemented in the teaching departments from 2023-24 and affiliated colleges from 2024-25.

Vice-Chancellor Renu Vig along with Dean University Instructions Yojna Rawat, Registrar YP Verma and Dean College Development Council Sanjay Kaushik launched the Handbook of Information 2025-26 comprising of all courses, seats, fees, eligibility of courses and other relevant details. Rawat said the varsity has implemented many initiatives to assist and guide the admission-seeking students, adding that the the Handbook can be accessed at https://puchd.ac.in/important-documents.php, while the admission notice is available at dui.puchd.ac.in/includes/ noticeboard/ 2025 / 20250602144534-puadmissionnotice2025-26.pdf?2025.

Starting this year, the university has approved NSS certificate valid for lifetime. It has also increased the seats of Foreign Nationals to the extent of 25 percent from the session 2025-26 (except for the courses governed by the regulatory bodies).

The online forms comprise 23 UG courses and 127 PG courses, she further added. The forms for Undergraduate / Certificate courses have become available at https://ugadmissions.puchd.ac.in and the last date of online form submission is July 1. The forms for PG/Diploma / Advance Diploma / Post MA Diploma courses will be available at https://onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in from June 10 and the last date of form submission is July 17.

The varsity has fixed the date for the online exam for the Environment, Road Safety Education, Violence Against Women / Children, and Drug Abuse module on June 13 (Friday).
