PU depts, libraries to stay closed till June 9

Chandigarh, June 3

Complying with the orders of the UT Administration, the Panjab University authorities have decided to keep departments and libraries shut till June 9.

The authorities also decided against the opening of hostels.

“Following the orders of the UT Administration, teaching departments and libraries of Panjab University will remain closed till June 9,” read a PU circular. “It has already been advised that the hostel residents should go back to their families for their safety and health. The hostel residents are hereby again advised not to come back to the university until Panjab University authorities issue notice in this regard.”

“To break the chain of Covid infection and in the larger interest of all of us and for the safety of residents and staff from the current pandemic, students should stay at home and join online classes/e-library,” it added. — TNS
