The women’s boxing team of Panjab University claimed the overall runners-up position in the All India Inter University Boxing Championship at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara.

Guddi clinched a gold medal in the 48kg event, while Ravina bagged the top honour in the 63kg category. Komal also won a gold medal in the 81kg event. A total of five boxers, including Guddi (48kg), Luxmi (52kg), Sanya (60kg), Ravina (63kg) and Komal (81kg), have been selected to represent the university in the Khelo India University Games, which will be held in Assam. Coach Vikash Dahiya and manager Savita also accompanied the team.
