Chandigarh: Panjab University’s students, Vibhushit Singh and Sourav Kansal, from the chemical engineering department, have launched ‘Amazin Raisin’ under their main start-up ‘Freako Fresh’. In March, they had launched their product ‘Anar in a Jar’. Kansal said the products were made using traditional techniques instead of using chemicals or sugar coating. The students are doing engineering in Food Technology. TNS

Workshop on cow dung bricks

Chandigarh: Social Substance and Ecologic Corporation have joined hands to educate people about the optimum utilisation of traditional resources. Sweeping the dung into sewage is choking sewage treatment plants and polluting water bodies. Puneet Arora from the corporation has come forward to educate himself and then make the masses aware of the issues. He, along with Dr Arun Bansal, from Social Substance, has started a series of workshops on bio-bricks|cow dung bricks. TNS
