Chandigarh, February 18

Punjab Engineering College (PEC) Football Club shared a point with St Stephen’s Football Club during the ongoing U-20 Chandigarh State Men’s League. The match ended in 1-1 draw after the stipulated 90 minutes of the play.

The PEC team drew the first blood in the 13th minute, as Anirudh netted a power-packed shot over the goal line. However, Dhanush brought the scores on a par in the 23rd minute for the St Stephen’s side. The second half of the match remained goalless.

In the second match, Sandhu FC drubbed Golden FC 3-0. Sahazman scored two goals for the winning side. He netted the first goal in the 12th minute followed by another in the 22nd minute. After sealing the first 45 minutes in their favour, the Sandhu FC team found another goal in the 66th minute. Atul netted the final goal to ensure an easy win for the side.

In the third match, Velocity FC beat Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 21, Football Club 2-1. Aditya (7th) and Nitin (15th) scored a goal each for Velocity Club, while Mudit reduced the margin for the Sector 21 team in the 17th minute. Thereafter, both the teams failed to score any goal.
