Punjabi University has started two refresher courses in mathematics and languages through the online mode. The Vice-Chancellor (VC), Dr BS Ghuman, said, “Teachers need to cope with the standards of teaching changing with time. As such research plays an important role in it.”

“Teachers should be aware of various agencies instrumental in providing funds and assistance in research,” the VC added while discussing the quality of work generated in research.

Dr Manruchi Kaur, Director, Human Resource Development Centre, said, “Focus should be on activities initiated by the university towards research and other matters.”
