Chandigarh: Hitesh Puri re-elected CRAWFED chief

Puri expressed gratitude to all RWAs and executive members for their steadfast support. He emphasised the critical role of these associations in the development and governance in the city, especially in addressing residents’ concerns at the grassroots level.
Rajat Malhotra and Anish Garg have been appointed general secretaries. Umesh Ghai has been made senior vice-chairman, Maj DP Singh patron and Sarabjit Singh Lehri finance secretary.
Many issues were also discussed in the meeting. These include the CHB’s action on anonymous complaints, restrictions on share-wise sale of properties due to heritage status of sectors, contaminated water and low-pressure water supply in Manimajra and multi-storey flats, and law and order concerns in different sectors.
