Banwarilal Purohit unveils Lala Lajpat Rai’s bust in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, January 28

Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit today visited Lajpat Rai Bhawan in Sector 15 to preside over a function organised to celebrate the 158th birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai. He unveiled a bust of the freedom fighter, inaugurated a lift and switched on the solar system. Satya Paul, chairman, Chandigarh Branch of Servants of the People Society, welcomed him.

Purohit recalled the role of Lala Lajpat Rai in the freedom movement.
