Hundreds of Qaumi Insaaf Morcha members gathered at the YPS Chowkto take part in the Mahapanchayat called to deliberate on the issue of the release of “Bandi Singh” activists from prisons.

Heavy police force was deployed on both sides of the Chandigarh-Mohali border. The anti-riot police and cops in full gear from three districts were also present at the spot to maintain law and order situation in the area.

The Morcha activists said a tractor March was being planned in Mohali on January 26 after the Republic Day function. Barricades have been unloaded at the spot but not yet deployed, cops said.
