Railways, Minerva set up cricket title clash

In semis, Indian Railways defeated Delhi Ran Star Cricket Club, Minerva Academy Cricket Club beat Haryana Cricket Association

Indian Railways will face Minerva Academy Cricket Club in the final of the 30th All India JP Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament. In the semifinals played today, Indian Railways beat Delhi Ran Star Cricket Club by 81 runs, while Minerva Academy Cricket Club defeated Haryana Cricket Association by three wickets.

In the first semi, Indian Railways posted 379/6 in 50 overs while batting first. Kush Marathe (120 off 114 balls) and Ansh Yadav (109 off 123 balls) were the two main scorers for the side. Shubham Chaubey also contributed by scoring a quickfire 55 off 33 balls, while Ravi Singh scored 29 and Sahab Yuvraj Singh 17. Rishi Sharma claimed three wickets for the bowling side, while Shubham Dubey picked two. Harsh Tyagi bagged one wicket.

In reply, the Delhi team bundled out at 298. Yajas R Sharma made the highest contribution with a 73-run inning, while Harsh Tyagi posted 42 and Sarthak Ranjan 41. Keshav R Singh (29) and Amit Kumar (27) were the other two scorers for the side. Susheel Kumar claimed four wickets, while Vishal Harsh and Ansh Yadav claimed two wickets each for the bowling side. Damandeep Singh and Ayan Choudhary picked one wicket each.

In the second semifinal, Minerva Academy Cricket Club defeated Haryana Cricket Association by three wickets. Batting first, the Haryana lads posted 205 in 46.3 overs with the help of Ashish Siwach (55), Arsh Kabir (32), Vivek Kunar (29) and Yuvraj (17). Sumit Beniwal and Jaggi shared three wickets each, while Tejpreet claimed two for the bowling side. Ramesh Kumar and Himmat Singh took a wicket each. In reply, Minerva Club posted 206 at the loss of seven wickets as Karteek Sharma (45), Abhay Choudhary (40), Tejpreet (27), Himmat Singh (25) and Aditya Kaushik (21) scored runs for the side. Rahul Rathee claimed three wickets, while Yuvraj, Harish Bhadana and Vishnu Choudhary bagged a wicket each.
