Light rain that started in the afternoon and continued till evening has brought some respite from rising heat.

According to the Meteorology Department, the city received 10 mm rainfall till 5.30 pm today. It has predicted mainly clear sky over the city in the next five days.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.3° Celsius, which was 1.8 degrees below normal. Compared to yesterday, there was a fall of 1.6°C in the average maximum temperature. The minimum temperature was recorded at 21.8° Celsius, 2.6 degrees above normal. There was a fall of 0.8°C in the average minimum temperature compared to yesterday.

The day temperature is likely to go up by a notch from Monday, while the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 22° Celsius.
