Rain cools down Chandigarh, expect more

Chandigarh, June 16

Morning rain cooled the city, bringing the maximum temperature down by five degrees and the minimum by seven degrees. The day temperature today fell to 37°C from 42.6°C recorded yesterday. It was one degree below normal. The rain also brought the night temperature down by 7°C.

The minimum temperature came down from 31.9°C yesterday to 24.7°C today, one degree below normal. The city recorded 12.1 mm of rainfall today. The rain is expected to continue till June 20.
