Tricity likely to get rain on October 5, 6

The Tricity experienced light rainfall in the past 24 hours, bringing much-needed relief from the late September heat.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted largely clear to partly cloudy skies for the next three days from October 2 to 4, followed by a change on October 5 and 6, when thunder and rain are likely in the Tricity.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) evening weather bulletin, Chandigarh city recorded 1 mm of rain, with Mohali reporting 11 mm rain, which was recorded as the maximum in the region during the past 24 hours. Maximum temperatures in the region remained below normal, keeping the weather relatively pleasant.

At Chandigarh's Sector 39 observatory, the day's maximum was 34.3°C, about 2.4°C below normal, while the minimum stood at 23.2°C. Humidity levels stayed high, peaking at 90% before dipping to around 56% in the afternoon.
