Puducherry Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma has been appointed as the new Adviser to the UT Administrator. As per an order of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Verma, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and other Union Territories) cadre, has been transferred and posted as Adviser to the Chandigarh Administrator with immediate effect and until further order.
