Raman stars as city lads post 400/6

Middle-order batsman Raman Bishnoi came up with a perfectly timed ton to help Chandigarh scored 400/6 against Nagaland on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at Sovima Cricket Ground.
Overnight 263/3, skipper Manan Vohra and Bishnoi added 28 runs to their partnership before Vohra’s was claimed by Nagaho. Vohra scored 121 off 140 balls with 20 boundaries. Nagaho struck again, accounting for Ankit Kaushik (4) to reduce the visitors 297/5. However, Bipul Sharma and Bishoni raised a 103-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Bishnoi also got out to Nagaho for 100 off 83 balls with 12 boundaries and three sixes. Soon, Vohra declared the Chandigarh innings. Sharma scored an unbeaten 50 off 35 balls with seven boundaries and one six.
For the hosts, Nagaho picked his five-wicket haul for 80 runs, while Aosashi claimed 1/23. —TNS
